Single Dental Implants Clawson, MI
Dental implants can be used to replace almost any missing tooth if there's enough bone at the location. If there isn't enough bone to be found, we can still perform a procedure that will help to regenerate the lost bone - all so the implant can be placed safely.
The dental implant is surgically placed in the bone, just slightly below the gum line. Since there will be a space to fill from your missing tooth, a temporary abutment (post) and temporary crown are typically placed over the implant while your mouth heals.
Once the healing process is complete, the permanent abutment is affixed to your dental implant.
The final step in the single implant process is to cement the permanent crown, made specially in a laboratory to look identical to your other teeth. A successful procedure will results in a new tooth that doesn't damage or affect your healthy adjacent teeth, and your bone loss has been repaired.
